This week's song comes in an even better video that really puts life on Earth into perspective. While the song is great (Mad World by Gary Jules), the real message here comes from the video which gives us a clear picture of our planet on a scale of 100 people.
The text used in the video was first published in 1990 in the "State of the Village Report", written by Donella Meadows, who passed away in 2000. The Nowadays Sustainability Institute carries on her ideas.
Founded in 2001, The Miniature Earth Project website has acquired more than 2 Million Views.
The video provides us with the refreshing reminder to appreciate what we have and do our best for a better world.

While technically a Newfoundland ballad, The Night Pat Murphy Died is the perfect song to begin the week leading up to St. Patrick's Day.
Sung here by Great Big Sea, a Canadian folk-rock band that specializes in playing rock renditions of traditional Newfoundland, Irish, and English ballads, The Night Pat Murphy Died will energize you with its fast beat and catchy tune. The lyrics are enough to make you wish it were Friday already, though the darkly comical message is sometimes lost within the lighter, comedic lyrics of the song.
